Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting all findings meticulously from initial consultation through to treatment conclusion.

• Collaborate with clients to create and implement customized intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, ensuring engagement and a safe environment for personal exploration.
\n
• Monitor and evaluate the client's progress throughout the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health specialists, primary care providers, and social workers to ensure comprehensive client care.
\n
• Maintain continuity of care by following up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring additional medical support.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges effectively.
\n
• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing behavioral challenges associated with mental health disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A track record of previous professional experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n
• An understanding of the complexities surrounding physical health conditions, emotional disorders, and addiction issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with colleagues.
\n
• An empathetic interpersonal style, characterized by a genuine desire to support others and an ability to build rapport quickly.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working within a remote therapeutic framework.

• Experience dealing with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals coping with substance abuse.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
