Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, devising individualized treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to foster recovery.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team comprising physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Document client progress meticulously in electronic health records (EHRs), maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions, offering peer support and coping strategies to clients facing similar challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients experiencing a wide range of emotional challenges associated with advanced illnesses, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many clients may be dealing with grief from loss or preparing for end-of-life care, requiring sensitivity, empathy, and skilled intervention. You will empower clients and their families with meaningful coping strategies and psychosocial support, fostering resilience during challenging times.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is essential.

• An active Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMSW) credential in New Jersey is required.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health or social work setting is required, experience specifically in hospice or palliative care environments is preferred. Compensation and Benefits\n
