Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to specific client needs.

• Monitor treatment progress and modify intervention strategies as necessary to optimize client outcomes.

• Conduct follow-up sessions to ensure effective communication between clients and their healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and physicians.

• Manage referrals and coordinate care with other mental health professionals, social workers, and community services.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to overcome these challenges, promoting resilience and empowerment in clients.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Oregon.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to efficiently document client interactions and treatments.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous clinical experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Familiarity with the latest best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding of the interplay between physical health issues and mental health, as well as experience with substance use disorders.
