Work Environment

This position is set within an onsite rehabilitation facility that provides a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will be part of a small team of skilled healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. The facility features advanced therapy equipment and treatment rooms designed for patient comfort and privacy. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, typically from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing you a standard work schedule with a strong work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions including but not limited to active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, activities of daily living training, and gait training.
• Aid patients during treatments, ensuring proper technique is employed while providing encouragement and support.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes and home care plans to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in an interdisciplinary approach to enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, massage, and stretching to aid recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patients range from young athletes to elderly individuals, each requiring a personalized approach to rehabilitation. By leveraging your skills and experience, you will help patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program is required.
• An active state license to practice physical therapy is essential.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a rehabilitation setting is preferred, with emphasis on orthopedic care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and the healthcare team.
• Strong clinical assessment abilities to evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist is highly desirable.
• Two or more years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is significant plus.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
