Superior Balance Physical Health Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each patient's functional limitations, goals, and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing for focused, personalized treatment.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices that encompass intervention, rehabilitation, and preventive strategies.
• Employ manual therapy techniques and customize exercise protocols designed to enhance the patient's mobility and strength.
• Educate patients on their conditions and the therapeutic interventions being employed while motivating them throughout the treatment process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and outcomes diligently, using electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Identify cost-effective treatment options to minimize reliance on medications and surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic outpatient center primarily serves patients recovering from a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, such as post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will work with adults of varying ages, tailoring treatments to address their individual needs and capabilities, helping them achieve optimal physical function and independence.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, crucial for delivering effective patient care.
• Strong skills in designing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Proficient in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for maintaining accurate records and patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred, with a proven track record of successfully managing patient cases.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, engaging with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with current best practices, rehabilitation protocols, and new approaches to orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits
