Work Environment

Your day-to-day work will primarily take place in the patients' homes, offering a unique opportunity to deliver care in a comfortable and familiar environment. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable and predictable schedule conducive to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Active Life, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, recognizing their objectives and requirements to tailor effective treatment plans.
• Manage an average patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for focused and personalized care.
• Implement treatment interventions that include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical modalities to improve patients' mobility.
• Minimize reliance on medications by promoting non-surgical interventions and encouraging lifestyle changes that enhance recovery.
• Develop and execute comprehensive rehabilitation plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques adapted to individual needs.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes continually, monitoring progress and adjusting care strategies in consultation with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate encouragement and motivation to patients throughout their treatments, fostering their independence and functionality.
• Document patient progress accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients of various age groups, tailoring your approach to address their unique recovery needs effectively. Your interventions will not only focus on restoring mobility but also on educating patients and their families about prevention strategies and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold:

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• No record of board or disciplinary action against your professional license.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and a strong background in therapeutic exercises.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT or similar software.

Preferred Experience

We strongly prefer candidates with:

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits

Active Life Orthopedic Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
