Interim Accountant
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Interim Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for properties, hospitality ventures, and personal establishments using Yardi and QuickBooks
- Conduct lease analysis, process cash receipts, and handle accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain the general ledger and perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements with insights to support strategic decisions
- Execute year-end closing procedures including journal entries, tax filings, and audit support
Requirements:
- Process payments including batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions
- Organize and maintain accounting records and employee files while administering payroll
- Monitor financial performance of restaurant and property operations
- Develop weekly financial forecasts for senior leadership and the CFO
- Receive, research, and resolve internal and external inquiries with professionalism
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in Yardi, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Strong reconciliation skills for bank accounts and expense schedules
- Communicate effectively to resolve billing disputes and manage vendor correspondence
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with financial policies and regulations
