Staff Accountant
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $36.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
- Review banking activity cash transactions and credit card activity to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to support financial accuracy.
- Assist with month end close activities and maintain supporting schedules for key accounts.
- Provide support for payable functions and other accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and standard financial reporting practices.
- Possess proficiency in Excel and experience working with accounting or enterprise software systems.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Maintain strong attention to detail when reviewing transactions reconciliations and financial records.
- Apply analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding accounting matters.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Contribute positively within a collaborative team environment while supporting departmental objectives.
