Full-Time Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) - Remote Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate full-time Mental Health Counselors (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Empowermental Psychotherapy PTE. LTD., a community health clinic located in Macon, Georgia. In this remote role, you will engage with patients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Your work will be fundamentally centered on applying evidence-based practices to help improve the mental well-being of individuals, couples, and families.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to support clients from various locations while enjoying the conveniences of working from home. Our clinic operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, some flexibility may be necessary to meet the unique needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, identifying the specific needs of patients, and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing a range of modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to facilitate healing and personal growth.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups, fostering a sense of community among individuals facing similar mental health challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention services, providing crucial support during mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients on their mental health conditions, discussing treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources that can aid their journey.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines to ensure optimal patient care and organizational integrity.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to collective insights and strategies for patient care.
• Continuously updates knowledge base by engaging in professional development and staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse client population, including adolescents, adults, and families grappling with various mental health disorders. Your expert guidance will offer individuals the chance to navigate their challenges, find coping mechanisms, and work toward recovery in a supportive, understanding environment.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and a strong foundation in evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven competency in performing mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment plans for individuals and groups.
• Experience in offering individual and group therapy, especially to diverse populations, is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for building rapport and trust with patients.
• Exceptional judgment, maintaining professional boundaries, and adherence to ethical standards in practice.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset to effectively work with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in community mental health or outpatient care settings.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and techniques.
• Training or specialization in behavioral therapies.
• Experience in facilitating groups or workshops effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
