Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments through comprehensive health histories and physical examinations to diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Utilize your clinical expertise to order, interpret, and communicate the results of laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, including prescribing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Monitor patient outcomes by establishing goals and evaluating the efficacy of implemented treatment strategies, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Engage in health promotion activities, providing patient education and anticipatory guidance aimed at fostering wellness and preventing disease.
• Facilitate collaboration with other healthcare providers to coordinate care for patients and ensure comprehensive medical support.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient encounters in adherence to medical record protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on caring for adult patients within an internal medicine framework. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Must hold current New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are essential.
• Demonstrable clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical for this position.

Preferred Experience

• At least three years of advanced practice experience in an internal medicine setting, particularly caring for adult patients, is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
