Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, which include detailed physical examinations and assessments of medical histories, to diagnose complex health issues.
• Provide direct medical care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients, ensuring each interaction is guided by compassion and professionalism.
• Educate patients and their families on wellness strategies, preventive care, and early detection, tailoring information to individual health needs.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans while utilizing cutting-edge medical technology and evidence-based practices.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment strategies and confirm diagnoses, ensuring accurate and effective patient care.

• Be prepared to cover night calls as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• An accredited Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Current unrestricted medical licensure in the state of New York, alongside board eligibility or board certification.
• A DEA license is mandatory to prescribe medications safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an internal medicine setting is highly desirable, providing familiarity with the patient population.
• Experience with electronic health records, especially EMR systems.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits
