Work Environment

This physical therapist position is an onsite role at our rehabilitation center, providing you with the opportunity to engage directly with our diverse patient population. You will be working amidst a supportive, collaborative team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, needs, and goals in order to devise effective treatment plans.
• Administer targeted manual therapy techniques alongside engaging in therapeutic exercises tailored to enhance patients' mobility and functional levels.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, fostering deep connections and focused care which leads to improved recovery outcomes.
• Develop personalized fitness and wellness programs that consider each patient's unique requirements and preferences.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficacy.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them set realistic goals and celebrating their progress.
• Document all services provided and maintain clear communication with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team regarding treatment progress and modifications.
• Evaluate treatment effects and adapt therapeutic approaches as necessary to enhance Recovery.
• Foster a collaborative atmosphere by working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The diverse patient demographics lend a variety of challenges, allowing you to apply your expertise and creativity in treatment strategies. You will be instrumental in not only rehabilitating patients but also empowering them to adopt healthier lifestyles through improved strength, balance, and coordination.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required to qualify for this position.
• New Jersey state licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.
• No board actions or disciplinary actions should be associated with the treatment license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise routines.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is a significant advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with a demonstrated background in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy will find themselves more aligned with our patient care model. Additional experience in sports medicine or post-operative rehabilitation is highly regarded, enhancing the clinical expertise required for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
