Key Responsibilities

• Direct the physical therapy treatment process with an emphasis on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function as per the established plan of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities using various diagnostic tests focused on muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment plans and ensure the provision of effective care delivery.
• Deliver hands-on therapies, including manual therapeutic exercises and functional activities, while motivating clients to participate in their rehabilitation process.
• Administer treatment modalities such as traction, massage, and the application of physical agents as indicated in the treatment plan.
• Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients, making recommendations for modifications to ensure optimal functionality.
• Prepare accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and adjust care plans for patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on physical therapy techniques and the use of therapeutic devices to promote self-management of their treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus
