Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed assessments and screenings to fully understand clients' mental health needs and developing tailored treatment plans based on these evaluations.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies to empower clients in their healing process.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care that addresses not only mental health but the overall well-being of clients.

• Providing supportive education and resources to clients’ families, promoting engagement and understanding in the therapeutic process.

• Maintaining accurate, confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines to ensure compliance and best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve supporting patients within the hospice care setting who are dealing with the emotional and psychological impacts of terminal illness. Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required, while a Master’s or Doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Proven expertise in mental health counseling with demonstrated experience utilizing evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Exemplary therapeutic skills, the ability to establish a strong rapport with clients, and the capacity to motivate them throughout the therapeutic process.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health therapy is required, candidates with extensive backgrounds in hospice or palliative care settings will be given preference. Experience working with grief counseling and end-of-life issues is particularly beneficial.
