Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatment for our clients, both within and outside our facility.

• Provide mental health in-service training sessions for our medical, psychiatric, and security teams to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and effective intervention strategies.

• Intervene in and de-escalate mental health crises, employing established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.

• Attend commitment hearings as necessary, maintaining compliance with facility agreements and advocating for clients’ mental health needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans and therapeutic goals tailored to individual needs, ensuring each client receives the highest standard of care.

• Document all patient interactions meticulously to maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with best practices.
\n
• Verify the mental health history of past patients, including a thorough review of any prescribed psychotropic medications, to inform ongoing treatment decisions.

• Prepare regular reports on patient progress and any special analyses required, contributing to the ongoing evaluation of our services.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff for post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care after clients leave our facility.
