Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a mental health therapist, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities designed to provide comprehensive care for our clients. Your duties will include:

• Conducting detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' backgrounds and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process their trauma, learn coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated care approach, optimizing patient outcomes.

• Responding to trauma-related emergencies by providing immediate crisis intervention and support.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available treatment resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation as required by legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay current with trauma care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma who are seeking support and therapeutic intervention. This includes clients struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and other related mental health conditions. Each patient comes with a unique story, and your role will be crucial in helping to navigate their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is required.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Ability to perform well in high-stress situations and offer calm support to patients.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications necessary for documentation and administration.

• Capability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is a requirement, we prefer candidates with strong familiarity in delivering trauma-focused therapies. Demonstrated expertise in working with diverse populations and an understanding of disparities in mental health services will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
