Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma histories, which will guide the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Designing and implementing individualized treatment strategies targeting trauma recovery and building resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Providing specialized therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which are essential for addressing trauma-related symptoms.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide coordinated and integrated patient care, ensuring holistic approaches to treatment.

• Delivering crisis intervention during traumatic emergencies and providing ongoing support to patients in distress.
\n
• Educating both patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms to support their healing journey.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma and may be dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and a variety of dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders along with treatment modalities tailored to trauma recovery.

• Strong communication skills that enable a compassionate and empathetic approach toward patients and their families.

• Expertise in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirement is two years of post-licensure experience, candidates with extended experience in trauma-informed care or specialized trauma therapies are highly preferred. Successful applicants will have demonstrable experience in employing trauma-focused interventions and will have shown the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
