Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations through initial interviews and assessments to document client history and current challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment duration, adjusting plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Assist clients in transitioning from inpatient care back to outpatient treatment when needed, ensuring continuity of care.

• Provide guidance and support to family members involved in the treatment process, helping them to understand and better manage the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

• Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, effectively to maintain accurate client records and treatment documentation.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensing as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health issues as well as trauma-informed care principles.
\n
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a licensed mental health counselor in a clinical setting.

• Familiarity with treatment of dual diagnosis clients dealing with both mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Experience utilizing electronic health record platforms, preferably AVATAR.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current developments in psychotherapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, newly hired counselors may have the potential for a sign-on bonus.
