Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, medical histories, and specific symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions using evidenced-based practices and develop personalized treatment plans for optimal recovery.
• Implement and instruct patients on therapeutic exercise techniques tailored to their capabilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic modalities such as massage and stimulation to promote healing and comfort.
• Assist patients in mastering the use of mobility aids, including wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring their safety and independence.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress to track rehabilitation outcomes effectively.
• Engage family members in discussions regarding in-home treatment options, therapeutic exercises, and necessary adaptations to promote a supportive recovery environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a broad spectrum of patients, including children, adults, and the elderly, each presenting with various health challenges ranging from acute injuries to chronic conditions. Your focus will be on ensuring each patient receives an individualized treatment plan that caters to their unique needs, facilitating recovery through strength-building exercises, functional training, and education.

Qualifications

• Current Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to convey complex information clearly to patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and documentation software commonly used in physical therapy practices.
• Demonstrable physical agility to perform the required tasks, including assisting patients with mobility and exercises.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is highly desirable. Candidates with prior experience in rehabilitation centers will have an advantage as the role requires familiarity with diverse patient populations and a range of therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits
