Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during initial client consultations, documenting all findings and developing individualized treatment plans based on each client's unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic activities to engage clients and promote healing.

• Monitor and assess clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care and referrals for clients requiring additional services.

• Provide follow-up support to clients, ensuring continuity of care, especially for those transitioning from inpatient to outpatient treatment.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, enabling them to better support their loved ones.

• Stay informed of the latest developments in mental health counseling and actively participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain best practices in therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will serve a diverse clientele that includes individuals struggling with various mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients may range from adults to families seeking guidance and support in navigating mental health challenges. Your expertise and understanding will be crucial in creating tailored treatment plans that respect cultural differences and address individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of relevant exams, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong foundation in psychotherapy techniques.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Knowledge of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, along with experience in addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards.

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological treatments utilized by medical providers and their implications for mental health.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with excellent interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
