Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the family therapy needs of individual clients and their families, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.

• Contribute to clinical staffing discussions and enhance service/treatment plans based on family-centered treatment methodologies.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as joint counseling, utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy.
\n
• Facilitate educational workshops and training groups focused on substance abuse, mental health awareness, and family dynamics.
\n
• Manage clinical documentation meticulously, ensuring that progress notes, patient assessments, treatment plans, and other essential records are complete and timely.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to create a robust support network for clients receiving treatment.
\n
• Identify and implement opportunities for program improvement using established tools and participate in quality enhancement initiatives.

• Maintain ongoing education and certification requirements, ensuring you stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of counseling and mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on working with adults facing substance use disorders, although you may also engage with family members and youth in various educational settings. Our approach recognizes the importance of working through social and familial contexts to address mental health challenges. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, developing insights into their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Arizona.

• Minimum of two years of experience in counseling, preferably in a clinical and family-centered context.

• In-depth knowledge and specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma treatment is highly preferred.

• Strong grasp of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team framework.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies.
