Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and individual needs through diagnostic interviews and standardized tools.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that target specific mental health issues, specifying goals and measurable outcomes for progress tracking.

• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions or family counseling as appropriate to enhance collective coping mechanisms and support systems.

• Continuously monitor and assess client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as indicated by changes in client conditions or goals.

• Accurately document all client interactions, treatment interventions, and outcomes using our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to provide comprehensive care and coordinate services effectively.

• Engage in ongoing training, workshops, and seminars to stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques and mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly focuses on individual adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds who are dealing with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and stress management. As a counselor, you will play a critical role in destigmatizing mental health issues and empowering clients through therapeutic support and guidance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling or a closely aligned field from an accredited institution.

• A valid state license to practice as a mental health counselor in New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
