This full-time remote position requires a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insights into each patient’s unique experiences, challenges, and strengths.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific cultural and personal backgrounds of clients.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy, focusing on promoting mental health resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Respond to and manage crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention for patients experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources within the community to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions that focus on cultural competency and best practices in mental health care.

• Stay up-to-date on current research and advances in mental health treatment, continually refining therapeutic techniques and cultural understanding.

As a Mental Health Therapist at New Hope Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist in the state of Texas.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence.

• Proven experience delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with diverse patients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.

• Commitment to upholding professional ethics, confidentiality, and effective collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
