Work Environment This position is predominantly remote, allowing you the flexibility to maintain work-life balance while providing exceptional care to clients. Although most interactions will take place online or over the phone, you will also have access to our outpatient office in San Jose, which serves as a collaborative hub for our team. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to meet the needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders. Collaborate with clients to create custom treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and needs. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide interventions. Provide education and resources to clients and their families concerning mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies. Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan based on assessments and feedback. Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Stay abreast of advancements in the treatment of mood disorders by participating in professional development and scholarly research. Accurately document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment strategies in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical expertise and discuss best practices. Act as an advocate for clients, striving to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and promote their rights and needs. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on individuals facing challenges related to mood disorders, which can significantly impact their quality of life. Our holistic approach ensures that you will work with a diverse population, tailoring interventions that reflect the cultural and individual differences of our clients. Your empathy and therapeutic skills will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC within the state of California. A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is highly preferred. Proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques, particularly CBT and DBT. Thorough understanding of psychopharmacology and a collaborative approach with medical professionals. A proven history of achieving positive client outcomes in treating mood-related challenges. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills capable of establishing rapport with a variety of clients. Preferred Experience Experience working in diverse environments that require cultural competence and sensitivity. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client documentation effectively. Participation in community outreach programs aimed at mental health education and awareness. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000, accompanied by a sign-on bonus of $3,000.
