Business Development Manager

Turf Doc Landscaping is a professional landscape and outdoor services company serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Baltimore region. We specialize in lawn maintenance, landscaping, hardscaping, commercial property maintenance, and seasonal services. We’re building a high-performing leadership team and are looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager who is passionate about helping customers, building lasting relationships, and driving business growth. Position Overview The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business, expanding relationships with existing customers, identifying new revenue opportunities, and leading the sales process from the initial customer contact through project handoff. This is a leadership position focused on sales, customer relationships, and long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Business Development Generate new residential and commercial business. Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, builders, municipalities, and commercial property owners. Develop referral partnerships and networking opportunities. Represent Turf Doc Landscaping at networking events and within the community. Meet with prospective customers and perform on-site consultations. Prepare professional estimates and proposals. Present solutions that meet customer needs while maintaining company profitability. Follow up on proposals and close new business. Maintain an organized sales pipeline and CRM. Account Management Build and maintain long-term customer relationships. Identify opportunities for enhancements and additional services. Conduct property walkthroughs and seasonal reviews. Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Leadership Help achieve company sales goals. Track sales activity and key performance indicators. Recommend new services, markets, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure successful project execution. Qualifications Three or more years of experience in business development, outside sales, account management, or estimating. Experience in landscaping, construction, home services, or commercial property management is preferred. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Self‑motivated with a results‑driven mindset. Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
