Work Environment

The typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of therapeutic services that have been planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in creating effective treatment plans, obtaining required approvals for interventions from referring physicians.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews to evaluate patient progress, interpreting physical therapists' evaluations and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Demonstrate proficient use of various physical therapy modalities and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being throughout treatment.
• Document patient progress meticulously within our electronic health record system, maintaining accurate records of treatment provided and any changes made in response to patient needs.
• Provide education and training to patients' families or caregivers regarding maintenance programs, facilitating smoother transitions post-therapy discharge.
• Identify and address patient care issues that may influence therapeutic outcomes, contributing useful insights to assist the physical therapist in enhancing patient recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation services. Your caseload may include individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain management. With a focus on enhancing mobility and reducing discomfort, your compassionate approach will contribute significantly to each patient's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program is required.
• Possess a current and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage tasks and ensure efficient clinic operations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
