Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, mobility restrictions, and functional limitations, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each patient's needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and progress metrics, adapting strategies based on patient responses and outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and state-of-the-art tools (e.g., ultrasound and electrical stimulation) to enhance recovery.
• Provide education regarding injury prevention strategies, body mechanics, and effective home exercise programs that empower patients to take charge of their rehabilitation.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with orthopedic specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to maintain coordinated and integrated patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making timely adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to maximize the effectiveness of therapy.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including maintaining accurate patient records per HIPAA guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse demographic that includes athletes, post-operative patients, and older adults seeking to improve their mobility and quality of life. Your ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to an individual's specific needs will be crucial in helping them achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist, with a preference for experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, and delivering patient education effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy or a related clinical environment.
