Position Overview

Seaside Counseling and Assessment is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). This full-time position offers the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining a focus on providing high-quality therapeutic services in an outpatient setting. Work Environment

This position primarily allows work from home, providing you the convenience of a flexible schedule while maintaining regular office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While teletherapy is a significant aspect, you will also be part of an innovative outpatient office that fosters teamwork, professional growth, and continuous learning among diverse professionals dedicated to mental health.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of client symptoms related to mood disorders to assess intensity, frequency, and duration.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their personal goals and needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families on the implications of mood disorders and treatment options available.
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about advancements and research in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment strategies.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops.
• Advocate for clients' needs within the mental health system, promoting awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals navigating mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse client base includes those experiencing challenges due to life transitions, trauma, domestic abuse, and other mental health concerns. We prioritize a compassionate approach, working closely with marginalized populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic violence to provide tailored support.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active and relevant state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster safe therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ life experiences.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage diverse administrative tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient settings or with diverse populations is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing both CBT and DBT methods in therapy preferred.
• Comfortable working with clients from various socioeconomic backgrounds, including those dealing with addiction.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is beneficial for maintaining documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
