As an LMHC at Harmony in Mind Therapy, you will work in a flexible remote setting while also having access to our outpatient facility. You will work a structured schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing you with a clear work-life balance that is essential for maintaining personal well-being, which is particularly important in mental health work.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents to identify specific care needs and mental health challenges they face.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions aimed at addressing emotional issues and facilitating coping strategies for seniors experiencing transitions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Educate families and staff about effective strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life of elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief counseling sessions for residents and their families who are grappling with end-of-life issues, helping them navigate their emotions with compassion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is primarily focused on serving elderly clients, many of whom are facing complex life challenges such as bereavement, cognitive decline, and significant life transitions. You will have the chance to work with a diverse client base, providing culturally competent care that recognizes and respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in the state of Massachusetts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
