Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and document case details from initial consultations to treatment completion.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments as needed to ensure the highest quality of care.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health specialists to create integrated intervention strategies.

• Maintain communication with external healthcare providers to coordinate care for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Identify challenges that may hinder recovery and work proactively with clients and families to address these issues.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers dealing with mental and behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with clients.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, ideally in a community health setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• An understanding of physical health conditions and addiction disorders, as well as their impacts on mental well-being.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Understanding the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
