Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments through preliminary interviews to establish comprehensive treatment baselines.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings to inform treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring an open, safe space for discussion and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans and methods in accordance with established goals.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including social workers, psychiatrists, and family doctors, to enhance the continuum of care for clients.

• Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients' needs, particularly those recently hospitalized for mental health issues.

• Proactively identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder clients’ recovery journey.

• Support family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges of caring for loved ones with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will center around supporting a diverse client population experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will work with those needing both crisis intervention and long-term therapeutic support, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience in AVATAR.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exemplary interpersonal abilities.

• Deep understanding of mental health conditions, including the intersection of emotional trauma and physical health issues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in community health settings or clinics.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodologies.

• Experience treating clients with addiction disorders or those with co-occurring mental and behavioral health conditions.

• Insight into the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by medical specialists, contributing to a holistic understanding of client needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
