Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial consultations, to assess the psychological and emotional needs of clients.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual assessment results, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic strategies.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, using interactive techniques to maintain client engagement.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with therapeutic goals and objectives.
\n
• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide holistic care for clients.
\n
• Manage referrals effectively, ensuring clients receive all necessary resources and support during their recovery process.
\n
• Educate and support family members and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to assist their loved ones through mental health challenges.

• Document all counseling sessions and treatment updates accurately in electronic health record systems, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. You will support clients experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and other emotional disturbances, providing evidence-based care that promotes healing and personal growth. This role is crucial in helping clients improve their overall well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts in a relatable way.

• Demonstrated understanding of addiction disorders and their impact on mental health.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a mental health counselor.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting is preferred but not mandatory.
\n
• An in-depth understanding of the effects of medications often prescribed in conjunction with mental health treatment.

• Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration is highly beneficial.
