This position is based onsite within clients' homes throughout The Villages and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and directing effective physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Overseeing the implementation of these plans by supervising physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic tests to assess clients' functional abilities and rehabilitation potential.
• Reviewing clients' home environments and providing recommendations that enhance their independence and safety.
• Administering various therapeutic exercises, applying physical agents, and instructing clients in non-manual exercises and activities that promote recovery.
• Evaluating and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with the physician to optimize client mobility and comfort.
• Maintaining meticulous clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries as per regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and collaborate effectively for comprehensive client care.
• Instructing clients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and techniques to aid in their recovery process.
• Remaining readily available for consultation with Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work with diverse populations, primarily focusing on elderly clients, individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and patients requiring ongoing rehabilitation. You will engage with clients in the comfort of their homes, fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages active participation in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid state licensure.
• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy role, with a preference for candidates experienced in home care or acute care settings.
• Current CPR certification and proper driver's license with vehicle insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, with the ability to embrace a patient-focused mission and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential for engaging with clients and interdisciplinary teams effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
