Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite in The Villages, Florida, and involves home care services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to establish their functional capabilities and limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment protocols, and daily activity in accordance with legal and professional standards.
• Provide education to patients and their families about treatment options, rehabilitation processes, and preventive care strategies.
• Assist in departmental functions such as community outreach, clinical quality improvement initiatives, and program development.
• Participate in regular staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Supervise and support assigned support staff in daily operations and patient care activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals experiencing orthopedic injuries and conditions requiring rehabilitative care. As a Physical Therapist at Powerback, you will work closely with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and post-traumatic incidents. We value a patient-centered approach, which allows you to actively engage with patients to tailor their care according to their unique needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; further education such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid state license for Physical Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Proficient in computer skills, including word processing and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, candidates with prior clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and a track record of effective patient management will be favored. Skills in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with current evidence-based practices will also enhance your candidacy.
