Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite within the comforting environments of our clients' homes, allowing you to provide personalized care that meets patients in their daily living spaces. Operating in The Villages, Florida, a vibrant community known for its active lifestyle, you will have the opportunity to engage with diverse individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and physical conditions. Your work schedule will generally be Monday to Friday, with flexible hours typically from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, promoting a balanced work-life arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, allowing for tailored treatment plans that focus on rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement personalized therapeutic interventions, including active and passive exercises, manual therapy techniques, muscle re-education, and gait training.
• Guide patients through exercises, activities of daily living, and ergonomic adjustments to facilitate a return to optimal function.
• Provide education and feedback to patients and their families regarding care routines, home exercises, and safety protocols to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive holistic and comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and outcomes meticulously to track improvement and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic massage to support pain management and promote healing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, or those seeking rehabilitation to enhance mobility and function. Emphasizing a hands-on, personalized approach, you will work closely with patients at various stages of recovery, ensuring engagement and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a strong clinical foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Active physical therapy license in the state of Florida, demonstrating your qualifications and commitment to ethical practice.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience in providing orthopedic physical therapy services, ideally in a home care or community-based setting.
