This role is primarily on-site in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in The Villages, Florida. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific orthopedic needs, aimed at preventing disability and alleviating pain.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional capabilities, utilizing advanced diagnostic assessments to inform your treatment strategies.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure they are effectively implementing prescribed treatment plans and providing appropriate support to clients.
• Administering a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual exercises, traction, massage, and physical agents to enhance recovery.
• Evaluating clients' home environments and suggesting modifications that promote independence in daily activities.
• Documenting clinical progress through accurate evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate patient progress and modify overall treatment plans as necessary.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families on treatment modalities, care devices, and self-management strategies.
• Maintaining compliance with all state regulations and organizational policies while collaborating closely with physicians and other health professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This includes individuals seeking rehabilitation after hip, knee, or shoulder surgeries, as well as those managing sports injuries or degenerative joint diseases. Your approach will involve not only rehabilitation but also education to empower patients to actively participate in their recovery process.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an orthopedic-focused physical therapy setting.
• Valid and current physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for patient-centered care.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum experience required is one year, candidates with expertise in developing advanced rehabilitation protocols, familiarity with contemporary therapeutic technologies, and a history of working in interdisciplinary teams will be highly regarded. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and previous involvement in community outreach or patient education initiatives will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
