Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Horizon Flex Therapy is seeking a dedicated and energetic full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our outpatient practice located in the vibrant community of The Villages, Florida. The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our outpatient office in The Villages. Our facility is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and a welcoming environment conducive to healing. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic impairments, identifying their goals and needs to create customized care plans.
• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based techniques aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain.
• Deliver quality patient care through one-on-one sessions, seeing 2-3 patients per hour, while offering guidance and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize effective manual therapy skills and exercise prescription to enhance mobility, promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document patient progress comprehensively, adapting treatment strategies as necessary based on observed outcomes and patient feedback.
• Engage in regular consultations with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population includes active adults and seniors in The Villages community who seek to maintain their quality of life and independence through effective therapy interventions. Therefore, your skills in motivational interviewing and patient education will be crucial in driving adherence to rehabilitation plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Current Florida Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the ability to obtain one before the start of employment.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT is beneficial.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of current rehabilitation protocols and trends in physical therapy.
• A track record of successfully motivating patients and enhancing their functional status through therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
