Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, carefully documenting client histories and mental health statuses from the first consultation through treatment completion.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for a variety of client demographics, including individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, promoting therapeutic dialogue and fostering a safe space for self-expression.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to deliver holistic care.

• Follow up on clients who require hospitalization, maintaining communication with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify barriers to recovery, implementing strategies to prevent behaviors that may hinder progress and guiding clients through challenges.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding mental and behavioral challenges and provide resources for effective management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse group of clients seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, and grief. Our clientele ranges from children to elders, and we emphasize providing culturally competent care that respects and responds to the unique backgrounds and circumstances of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon is mandatory.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Diverse experience in mental health counseling, with demonstrated competency in clinical practice.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is essential for maintaining accurate client records and treatment notes.

• A strong understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience in addressing addiction disorders.
\n
• Awareness of best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is preferred.

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are crucial for client interaction and documentation.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine empathic nature are essential for building trusting client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n
