Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing for a dynamic and interactive work experience within our rehabilitation center. As part of our team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will engage directly with patients in a motivational and encouraging atmosphere. Our modern facility is designed to support various rehabilitation needs, featuring advanced equipment and treatment modalities tailored to enhance patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and create individualized treatment plans.
• Efficiently manage your schedule to accommodate one patient per hour, ensuring focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Employ diverse treatment techniques that prioritize patient safety, comfort, and progress toward rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to minimize reliance on medications and saturate treatment plans with non-invasive intervention options.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey by providing ongoing encouragement and adjustments to their therapeutic approaches.
• Stay in close communication with other healthcare professionals to exchange vital information and coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and therapy outcomes meticulously, maintaining clear records for ongoing evaluation and continuity of care.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust based on patient progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, focusing on enhancing their movement potential and quality of life. This includes actively supporting individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgical interventions, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic is diverse, and each individual comes with unique challenges and recovery goals, providing a rewarding opportunity to tailor treatments and witness significant progress.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required. Candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) qualification will be strongly preferred.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California, with a clean professional record free of any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient clinic is essential for success in this role.
• Experience with rehabilitation tools, modalities, and therapeutic practices will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
