Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting findings that inform treatment plans.

• Create and implement effective intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress against treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Provide appropriate follow-up care for clients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient settings, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
\n
• Educate and support families and caregivers, offering strategies to navigate mental and behavioral challenges encountered by their loved ones.

• Stay current with the latest developments in mental health practices, integrating new knowledge and techniques into your work.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in understandable terms.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, for patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a community health setting.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders, providing a holistic approach to treatment.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and professional guidelines.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health, enhancing the ability to collaborate effectively with prescribing physicians.
