ER RN

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides skilled nursing care in a critical access hospital emergency department setting. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level 4 trauma environment. The ER RN is expected to manage emergency situations effectively, participate in call rotations, and utilize electronic medical records (Meditech 6.0 preferred). Prior travel nursing experience and at least 3 years of relevant nursing experience are strongly preferred. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the emergency room, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations in the ER setting.
• Document patient care activities accurately using electronic medical records (preferably Meditech 6.0).
• Participate in call rotations requiring 24-hour availability.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency room or critical care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Meditech 6.0.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience working in a Level 4 trauma or critical access hospital emergency department.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).

• Must be able to take call shifts that are 24 hours in duration.
• Work environment includes a 11-bed emergency room in a critical access hospital setting.
• Shift work includes 12-hour shifts with a specific schedule from 3 PM to 3 AM.

• 36 hours per week, typically scheduled as three 12-hour shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM.
• Call shifts required on a rotating basis, with 24-hour call periods.
