Full-Time Physical Therapist - Onsite Opportunity in Rehabilitation Center

Vita Flex Therapeutics is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our vibrant rehabilitation team at our Syracuse, New York facility. Work Environment

This role is based in a fully equipped rehabilitation center in Syracuse, NY, where you will work alongside a passionate team of healthcare professionals in a supportive, patient-centric atmosphere. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to better serve our patients' needs. Our center is designed to create a comfortable and efficient setting, facilitated by modern therapeutic technologies and tools that help optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that effectively address each patient's unique rehabilitation goals, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Engage with patients to instruct them in therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that promote healing and pain relief.
• Educate patients about body mechanics, proper exercise techniques, and effective home exercise programs to enhance their recovery journey.
• Utilize various modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, in line with best practice guidelines to support patient recovery.
• Assess and monitor patient progress, documenting results like range of motion and strength increases, to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust them as necessary.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and organized therapeutic environment for both staff and patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide comprehensive care tailored to patient needs.
• Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Uphold high ethical and professional standards while maintaining confidentiality and showing respect for patients' rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a wide variety of demographics, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges, and as a Physical Therapist, you will deliver focused care designed to meet their specific recovery needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, ensuring a foundational understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist, demonstrating your qualification and compliance with New York state regulations.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting, showcasing your ability to provide effective therapeutic care in a rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with specialized training in one of our key rehabilitation areas (orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, pediatric, sports, or post-surgical rehabilitation) will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and proficiency in data tracking software can also enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
