Materials Scientist for AI Model Training [Remote]

Apply advanced materials science knowledge to review, annotate, and evaluate technical content that will be used to train next generation AI systems. • Review and assess technical materials datasets, scientific literature, and documentation for accuracy and clarity.
• Annotate technical datasets and provide structured feedback to improve data quality.
• Formulate clear, comprehensive explanations of advanced materials science concepts for expert and non-expert audiences.
• Evaluate and critique AI-generated content related to materials engineering, metallurgy, and related disciplines.
• Develop and validate domain-specific scenarios, problem sets, and case studies for AI training purposes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to define and refine data requirements and quality benchmarks.
• Perform quality assurance on scientific deliverables to ensure they meet established standards and project specifications.

• MS or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field with a materials focus preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in materials science, including materials characterization, processing, selection, or testing across applications.
• Experience reviewing technical literature and interpreting experimental and scientific data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and precisely.
• Experience with annotating technical datasets and developing scenario or case study content is preferred.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools for technical review.
• Publication record or contributions to scholarly work in materials science is a plus.
