Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function according to the patient's individual care plan.
• Assess and interpret diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient's functional abilities, ensuring an accurate understanding of their needs.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to facilitate effective and safe treatment delivery.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy techniques, traction, and the application of physical agents.
• Conduct detailed assessments of patients' home environments and make recommendations for modifications to enhance their independence.
• Prepare comprehensive clinical documentation that includes evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring all records adhere to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans, actively participating in care conferences and patient evaluations.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy methodologies, home exercise programs, and the appropriate use of therapy devices.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain, and patients managing disabilities. You will develop personalized treatment plans that address specific goals, empowering patients to engage actively in their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient or acute care setting.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Florida.
• Up-to-date CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits
