Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, designed to promote healing and recovery. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate each patient's condition to develop tailored and effective rehabilitation programs.
• Conduct thorough initial examinations, taking into account individual goals and physical limitations.
• Implement and lead evidence-based therapeutic interventions that address musculoskeletal and orthopedic issues.
• Provide education and training on exercises, modalities, and self-management strategies to empower patients.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and care they deserve.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including strength training and mobility exercises.
• Regularly review and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Promote non-surgical treatment options that minimize dependency on medications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on orthopedic outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patients vary in age and background, requiring a compassionate and adaptable approach. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these individuals regain function and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, free of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Ability to craft and implement effective exercise programs tailored to the needs of individual patients.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation and communication.
• A thorough understanding of current evidence-based practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting is a plus.
• Prior exposure to patient education and community health initiatives will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Wellness Wise Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
