Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, including a review of medical history, physical assessments, and the formulation of personalized treatment recommendations.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring alignment in goal-setting and care expectations.
• Expertly implement and monitor treatment protocols, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to patients' unique needs and health status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to address changes in patients' conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and documenting all findings comprehensively.
• Lead complete discharge planning processes, ensuring proper follow-up care and the transition to home or additional rehabilitation services, while maintaining accurate patient records.
• Manage time effectively to meet departmental productivity benchmarks, ensuring timely documentation and service delivery.
• Actively engage in community outreach efforts and hospital marketing activities to promote rehabilitation services and strengthen community ties.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and instructor for students in the physical therapy program, fostering a commitment to education and continuous learning.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to improve patient access to care, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgeries to individuals managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will employ therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and education strategies to empower patients in their rehabilitation journeys. Your commitment to patient-centric care will be crucial in helping our clients achieve their physical health goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Active state license in physical therapy, as required by Florida state regulations.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
