Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Serene Paths, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for patients and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs, utilizing best practices and solution-focused interventions.

• Provide psychotherapy services using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), adjusting techniques as necessary to enhance effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations, fostering an environment of trust and confidentiality.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, quality care to our patients.

• Participate in regular case consultations and peer reviews, contributing your insights and expertise to elevate treatment standards and improve patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, therapeutic options, and community resources to empower them in their journeys.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and trends in mental health care, actively integrating new knowledge into clinical practice to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients in hospice care and their families, who often face complex emotional challenges during a vulnerable period. You will play a vital role in providing psychological support, helping them navigate grief, anxiety, and other mental health concerns while ensuring that their emotional needs are met with dignity and respect.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, you must have:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LCSW license to practice in California.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in providing psychotherapy, preferably in a hospice or palliative care setting.
