Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Cognitive Psychiatric Center, you will be pivotal in our patients' mental health journey. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the Medical Director and medical team to design and coordinate individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs.

• Providing in-service training on mental health topics to medical, psychiatric, and security staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the knowledge to support our patients effectively.

• Intervening in mental health emergencies within the facility, applying de-escalation techniques and strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.

• Participating in commitment hearings or facility contracts, advocating for patients during critical decision-making processes.
\n
• Documenting all patient interactions and treatment processes meticulously, ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements and regulatory standards.

• Maintaining accurate records of patients' mental health histories, verifying any prior treatments or medications utilized.

• Coordinating with nursing and mental health staff to arrange post-release referrals, facilitating a seamless transition for patients re-entering the community.

• Preparing regular and special reports to monitor treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
