Business Development Specialist

Cencora

Cencora seeks a Business Development Specialist to drive sales growth across a regional customer base through consultative selling and account management. The role involves executing daily call plans, managing customer relationships, and collaborating with leadership to identify business opportunities within the AmerisourceBergen distribution network.

Responsibilities

Execute daily regional call plans and manage regular customer call cycles with discretionary follow-up as needed
Conduct outbound calls to targeted accounts to increase purchasing, grow revenue, and promote cross-selling and upselling
Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts through proactive engagement
Generate professional quotes, gather competitive intelligence, and analyze sales trends using company reporting systems
Collaborate with Regional Director to create business development plans and identify new customer acquisition opportunities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or related field
Three or more years of directly related, progressively responsible sales experience
Demonstrated proficiency with consultative selling and cross-selling techniques
Strong analytical and communication skills; proficiency with CRM software
Experience in animal health industry highly desirable
Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and inventory management systems
