Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments to understand clients' needs, making informed treatment recommendations.
\n
• Provide therapeutic counseling sessions for Black birthing families, employing evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
\n
• Facilitate case management services to support clients in navigating their healthcare journey, working closely with mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary prenatal care team, including medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, promoting community engagement and offering resources to enhance emotional well-being.
\n
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Participate in professional development activities and contribute to organizational initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets Black birthing families, addressing the unique mental health challenges faced by this population. The therapist will provide culturally sensitive care, ensuring that clients feel supported and understood throughout their perinatal journey. By focusing on the intersectionality of mental health, culture, and birthing experiences, you will contribute to better health outcomes and empowerment for families in our community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Active license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

• Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse array of clients and interdisciplinary team members.

• Strong organizational abilities and the capability to work independently, seeking assistance when necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in maternal mental health or working with perinatal populations is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with telehealth systems and electronic health records (EHR) is advantageous.

• Experience in leading support groups or facilitating community-based programs would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 based on your caseload and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
